Yung Thug arrested on gang-related charges

Young Thug was arrested Monday night in Georgia on gang charges, according to online jail records.

The “Go Crazy” rapper, real name Jeffery Lamar Williams, has been charged with conspiring to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act and participating in criminal street gang activity. According to the Constitution of the Atlanta Journalthe RICO law charge stems from an alleged crime committed in January 2013, while the gang activity charge stems from an alleged incident in May 2018.

Young Thug representatives have not responded to requests for comment from Rolling Stone.
