You probably didn’t realize that Zach Braff is Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars:

So far, Obi-Wan Kenobi has been brimming with Easter eggs, name drops, and cameos that both old and new fans of the series have loved. This includes everything from references to Jedi like Djinn Altis and Quinlan Vos to the return of James Earl Jones as the voice of everyone’s favorite Sith Lord.

Amidst all those cameos, however, there’s probably one actor who appeared in Obi-Wan Kenobi that you didn’t even notice: Zach Braff. Yes, the infamous Dr. John Michael “JD” Dorian, MD himself was actually in Episode 3 of the show. So who did he play?

Braff was actually responsible for providing the voice for the alien named Freck. This Imperial fanboy plays a minor role in the episode as he takes Obi-Wan and Leia with him before turning them into some stormtroopers at a checkpoint.

Thanks to the costume, no one realized Zach Braff was responsible for voicing Freck until eagle-eyed fans spotted his name in the credits.

The actor is just one of many notable names to have had background appearances in Star Wars in recent years, alongside Daniel Craig (Stormtrooper on The Force Awakens) and Tom Hardy (Stormtrooper on The Last Jedi), to name a few.

Before the credits rolled, did you know it was Zach Braff? Who would you like to see in a similar role in the future? Let us know what you think in the comment section below.
