XXXTentacion killer sentenced to life in prison

Three men were today sentenced to life in prison for the murder of XXXTentacion after being found guilty last month XXL.
Michael Boatwright, Trayvon Newsome and Dedrick Williams were convicted on March 20, 2023 of the 2018 murder of XXXTentacion. District Judge Michael A. Usan is quoted as saying to Boatwright, “You turned a robbery into a murder. On that day, as you stood there firing that gun, you took five lives, including your own.”
Boatwright, Newsome and Williams are said to have mugged XXXTentacion as he was buying motorcycles in June 2018, shot him and fled with a $50,000 bag he had just withdrawn from the bank. The suspects were later seen showing the cash on social media.
All three men were previously found guilty of first-degree murder with a firearm and robbery with a deadly weapon. All three life sentences have a minimum of ten years, and they have 30 days to appeal their sentences. Robert Allen, who pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and cooperated with authorities in the investigation of the murder, will be convicted at a later date.
XXXTentacion manager Solomon Sobande released an impact statement on behalf of the rapper’s family. “It’s a loss we’ll never really recover from,” he read. “We will never see Jahseh live to his full potential, we will never see him grow old, we will never see him become a father.”
