World Cup 2022: Hull Boy haircut Ronaldo tribute “kicked out of school”.

A boy’s World Cup haircut paying tribute to his favorite footballer has resulted in him being expelled from school.
Alfie Ransom, 12, asked his mother to shave his head but leave a tuft of fringes à la Ronaldo.
The distinctive haircut was sported by the Brazilian legend during the 2002 World Cup final and has become one of the defining images of his remarkable career.
Alfie, from Hull, asked mum Emma Shaw to let him do the same for this year’s World Cup.
She relented after England’s win on Monday – but the makeover didn’t seem to impress staff at Sirius West Academy.
Emma, 32, claims she was called by school staff on Wednesday to say her son was being sent home for breaking school rules.
She said: “Schools today are about accepting people for who they are and encouraging people to be unique and be themselves. how is that different
“Ronaldo is one of my son’s favorite players and it’s the World Cup.
“Ever since I was a kid, there were always trends in what pop stars and celebrities were doing – we were crazy about the stars.
“Alfie’s friends loved the haircut and it made Alfie really happy and confident.
“He likes school and was going to go as usual but he’s not allowed to go back until he’s shaved off everything, which is ridiculous because it’s not going to affect his learning one bit.”
She said she was unsure whether to comply with the order.
Ronaldo revealed why he got the unusual cut last year and even apologized for the trouble parents have caused with children who have wanted to emulate it over the years.
He decided to do it after the semifinals to deflect questions about his fitness after suffering a knock before the finals.
The forward told Sports Illustrated: “It was awful. My apologies to any mothers who have seen their children get the same haircut.”
The Sirius West Academy uniform policy states: “Hairstyles must be appropriate for academy life.
There should be no extreme hairstyles such as a mohawk, shaved “tramway” lines, or unnatural hair colors.”
