Worker accepts jobs that require more than 2 interviews

One woman calls companies that require applicants to interview for months, warning that qualified candidates could lose interest as a result.

In the video posted by TikToker Callie (@_cal_cifer) on March 4, she explains why applicants might lose interest in a job that requires them to “come in for 3 or 4 interviews.”

She calls a “selection process [that] lasts more than a month”, the need to explain their CV to each interviewer and lack of transparent salary ranges are other reasons why candidates could lose interest.

“If you don’t want to be honest and transparent with applicants, that’s your prerogative. But good applicants won’t wait,” she says in the clip.

In the comments, users were divided on whether a lengthy hiring process was unnecessary.

“As a hiring manager, I put obstacles in the way of candidates to test their resolve. It works,” wrote one user.

“No one wants to work. Maybe stop making your hiring process more complicated than the job itself!!!!” said another.

“Employers need to realize that they are not the crème de la crème and do not call the shots. If you want good employees, you have to make sure you get them,” added a third.

Others shared their own annoyances when applying.

“If I have to fill out a cover letter in addition to my CV and fill out everything manually in your application, I’m absolutely not interested,” said one commenter.

“Or jobs that ask you to do trial work and then steal your work and not give you the job,” wrote another.
