WORCESTER, MASS. (WHDH) – Worcester Public Schools and several other counties will be closed Monday as a system bringing snow moves across the state.

The overnight storm is expected to bring between 3 and 6 inches of snow to some parts of the state and mostly rain to the Boston area.

The Department for Transport says it will have crews on duty overnight to ensure roads are clear and safe for drivers. Local residents are urged to avoid driving unless necessary.
