Woman shares hack to make money at Equinox

A woman has gone viral on TikTok for sharing her hack for getting the most out of her Equinox gym membership — by refilling her Kiehl’s moisturizer at the gym instead of buying a new one.

TikTok user Siena Atkins (@sisiatkins) started the video by walking into an Equinox locker room.

“I go to the locker room at Equinox to refill my Kiehl’s moisturizer because my $300 gym membership provides it for me. So why buy a new one, I’m practically paying for this one already,” Atkins wrote in the text overlay.

The camera then switched to the content creator taking a small moisturizer jar from her gym bag and refilling it from the large Kiehl’s moisturizer bottle in the dressing room.

The video was viewed 3.3 million times as of February 28. In the comments, many viewers approved of TikToker’s hack, including current and former Kiehl employees.

“As a Kiehl’s employee, I understand and agree,” wrote one viewer.

“As a former Kiehls employee…yes,” echoed another.

Several viewers stated that if they had paid $300 for their membership, they would have taken the whole bottle. Other viewers shared how they are taking advantage of all the benefits Equinox has to offer.

“I go to the equinox on laundry day because the hot water won’t run out and go to the steam room = $120 steam treatment for hair,” shared one member.

“Unlimited scrunchies FEM products and skincare lmao love it,” wrote another.

While numerous viewers appreciated the hack, some pointed out that Equinox could refill their Kiehl’s bottles with cheaper moisturizers. However, an alleged former employee assured commenters that this was not the case.

“Ex-Equinox employee here. No, they have big bottles of Kiehls products that we fill them up with,” they claimed.

Equinox is known for being an expensive gym that usually caters to the wealthy. according to dr Workout, a fitness blog, basic memberships start at $168 per month, and the most expensive membership is $500.
