Woman says she tells men she’s dating her birthday

A TikToker shared a “city girl tip,” which was praised by viewers.

TikToker @roxxyroxie reveals in a clip that every first date with a guy she tells them their birthday is only a week away. “I know they will invite me back,” she says.

“So when they do, I’m like, ‘Oh, it’s my birthday week, remember? But honestly, I had such a good time with you and you are so special, I make them feel very special,” she continues.

Roxie goes on to say that most men feel the need to give it their all since they think she’s spending their birthday with them.

“They take me to 5-star restaurants. We’ll dine out all night, like we’ll go to the clubs. He would like to buy me nice things because it’s my birthday,” she says. “I’d like to have a hundred birthdays every damn year. It’s cool. It is wonderful. I like this.”

Roxie’s video, which has been viewed over 1.6 million times, has viewers crowning her the “true leader of the city girls” and taking notes.

“I used to date for the free meal, but you on another level, I love it and I’m invested,” said one.

“You just changed my life,” claimed another.

Others shared their own tips.

“That used to be my trick, in bars I would pin a pin and men would pin 20’s 50’s, go broke to drink, come out smashed and out $500,” said one, apparently referring to the birthday tradition encouraging viewers Pinning money to the person whose birthday it is.

Some have suggested that if Roxie develops feelings for either man, Roxie’s tactics could backfire.

“But what if he ends up becoming a long-term N and finds out your real birthday, or if he identifies you???” one questioned.

“That’s awesome but what if you start liking the guy and start dating,” asked another.

However, Roxie replied, “We’re playing men here, we’re not capturing feelings.”

In 2019, two separate studies were conducted on “foodie calls,” aka the act of meeting someone on a date in hopes that they’ll get a free meal or night out. In one of the surveys, 33% of women admitted to dating just because of grub (the other study had a significantly lower score of 23%).
