Woman Records targets customers stealing $1,000 worth of Legos

A woman on TikTok went viral after exposing a Target customer who walked out of the store with $1,000 worth of Legos he allegedly didn’t pay for.

The TikToker (@myerrrrrrrrrrr) posted a video zooming in on the customer’s back as he quickly pushes his shopping cart out of the store. She laughs as she walks closer to get a better viewer and says to someone off-screen, “I told you, I told you, I told You.”

“When you catch a guy on video with 1,000 worth of Legos at Target,” the video’s on-screen caption reads. As of Friday, the video received 2.5 million views on TikTok.

Despite TikToker’s excitement, several viewers called her for exposing a fellow client.

“Why are you betraying bro,” commented one viewer.

“Okay but why are you showing him leave the man alone he’ll get caught out there,” commented a second viewer.

A third sarcastically wrote, “Oh no the billion dollar company lost about $500.”

In a highly requested Story Time video, the TikToker says she was browsing Target’s Lego section when she noticed the other customer tossed a few Lego sets into his shopping cart.

“And I was really confused because he grabbed some of the same sets,” says the TikToker in the video.

She says she asked the customer what was wrong with all the Legos in his shopping cart and he gave her a suspicious answer about buying the Legos for family members. At that point, she knew what he was really doing, she says.

When she told her friends who were with her that she thought the other customer was going to steal the Legos, they didn’t believe her, the TikToker says. They then followed him through the store and saw him walking around the perimeter of the store, avoiding employees, until he got to the exit.

After the customer left with the Legos, the TikTokers and their friends didn’t do anything to report him, she says. While capturing the video, she saw some Target employees appearing to be talking about the customer on their walkie-talkies.

Some viewers said they really couldn’t blame the customer for the theft of the Legos.

“I can’t blame him for Lego being insanely expensive,” said one viewer.

“I would have asked him to take a set for me and meet me outside,” wrote another.
