A woman who allegedly kidnapped 5-month-old twin boys has been arrested – but one of the infants is still missing.

Nalah Jackson, 24, was arrested “on the street” around 2:00 p.m. Thursday in a stolen 2010 Honda Accord, Columbus Deputy Chief Smith Weir said.

She is accused of kidnapping Monday in the Short North neighborhood of Ohio’s capital.

The twins, Kason and Kyair Thomass, were in the arrangement, which expired when their mother went to Donato’s Pizza to pick up her DoorDash order, WBNS reported.

Jackson, who was sitting in the restaurant, slipped out the side door, got into the vehicle, and drove away with the twins, Franklin County City Court records said.

Surveillance photos showed Jackson walked into a gas station in Huber Heights just before midnight Monday.

Around 4:45 a.m. Tuesday, Kyair was spotted outside Dayton International Airport, where it had been abandoned. However, Kason was nowhere to be seen.

A yellow alert was issued about four hours after the twins were abducted. Another Amber alert was processed for Kason after he was not found with his brother.

Police obtained an arrest warrant for Jackson and she was charged with two counts of kidnapping.

Before charges were filed, Police Chief Elaine Bryant asked Jackson to turn over the missing twin.

“Please return Kason Thomas,” Bryant said. “Thank you for bringing Kyair back. You have already shown us that you can do the right thing.”

Family, community members and law enforcement officials have searched Columbus and Montgomery County, where they believe Jackson was last known.

The FBI is helping with the search.

“They have been amazing in their partnerships and able to provide us with any resources necessary to help us, be it personnel,” Bryant said. “Whether it’s technology, they’ve been extremely helpful.”

Anyone with information on Kason’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Columbus Police Department’s Special Victims Unit.
