Woman applies to Wendy’s, gets Small Frosty instead of Job Free

In a difficult job market, any glimmer of hope is welcome among job seekers. However, a woman’s application for a job at Wendy’s Corporate took an unexpected turn when instead of a job offer, she received a free little Frosty.

The woman shared her experience in a satirical video she posted to her TikTok account @discounthannah on Feb. 17.

In the video, she sarcastically tells her audience, “Lifehack: I just learned when you apply to Wendy’s Corporate that even though you’re qualified, they automatically reject you, and they never interview you or contact you or anything, they give you.” you a free little frosty. I think that’s something. But that doesn’t pay my bills.”

The video quickly went viral, racking up over 51,000 views and sparking a surge of comments from other users, who shared their own experiences of quirky job application responses.

One user said, “I applied to Spotify and they sent me a link to their playlist at the company office and said, ‘We’ll listen to this when we review your application.'”

Another user left a similar comment, saying, “Chobani used to give you a coupon for a free yogurt.”

While the free little frosty might not be a turning point for job seekers, it did provide some ease in a tough job market. One user even joked, “Apply once a day. Won’t pay your bills, but will keep you alive.”

However, not all users were amused by Wendy’s answer. Pointing out that the Frosty isn’t even free, one user said, “Free little Frosty WITH purchase.”
