A TikToker speculated in a viral video that a woman smuggled her dog onto a United Airlines flight via a backpack and blanket.
In the video posted by user @heyguysitsaa312, a woman is draped over a backpack with a large blanket. In the next clip, viewers can see that the backpack contains a dog.
“Did she just get her dog on the plane for free?” asks the TikToker in the text overlaid on the video.
“She went through #clear with the blanket, and then this happened. Don’t worry, there were breathing windows on the side. Looks like the dog was fine,” the user added in the caption.
TikTok currently has over 1 million views.

First, TikToker encouraged @heyguysitsaa312 to keep to themselves.
“People have to mind their own business,” wrote one user.
“When she did sooo what,” added another. “Hate them smart.”
However, others pointed out that @heyguysitsaa312’s alleged conspiracy doesn’t make much sense.
“Do you really think she shouldn’t have gone through airport security? Good idea,” said one commenter.
“The gate agent may have stopped by, but the flight attendants probably saw it,” a second user noted.
“There was no sneaking. She went through TSA. They know the dogs there very well, ”explained another user. “It’s approved, otherwise she wouldn’t be at the gate.”
United Airlines featured in the video allows pets in the cabin for a fee of $125 each way, although service animals (excluding therapy animals) are free.
However, according to some users, the fee is not often enforced.
“You can take a dog as carry-on baggage… and you don’t have to pay anything extra. I’ve traveled mine before,” claimed one commenter.
“I have taken my dogs many times without paying,” wrote another user. “It’s pretty easy.”
The ceiling visible in the video may also have a different purpose than @heyguysitsaa312 claims.
“My dog reacts to strangers who come too close to me. I would cover for him when I was in close proximity to others…” one commenter elaborated.
“I’m sure she paid for just putting the blanket down so as not to stress the dog,” shared another user.
The Daily Dot contacted @heyguysitsaa312 via TikTok comment and United Airlines via email.
