Woman, 86, fighting for life after being pushed off scooter while out with husband | UK News

A pensioner is fighting for her life after being thrown from her mobility scooter and left with severe head injuries.
The 86-year-old was taken to hospital after being hit by a silver Renault car while traveling with her husband – who was also on a scooter.
Police are now appealing for witnesses after the crash at around 11.45am on Friday in Bipsham, Lancashire.
Following reports of the crash, officers were called to the junction of Cavendish Road and Devonshire Road.
Emergency services attended and the woman was taken to the Royal Preston Hospital where she is in critical condition.
Renault driver and passenger were unharmed.
The injured woman was traveling with her husband, who was driving a similar red mobility scooter.
A Lancashire Police spokesman said: “We are asking witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage of the incident to contact police.”
Sergeant Marc Glass of the Roads Policing Unit said: “We are appealing for witnesses following a collision in Bispham on Friday morning.
“An elderly woman has suffered serious injuries and we are trying to find out exactly how the collision happened.
“If you witnessed the collision or any of the vehicles before it, please contact us.
