A Wingstop employee recently went viral on TikTok after sharing a PSA to make customers’ lives a little better.
In the video, TikToker and Wingstop contributor Keldrick Hopson (@keldrickhopson) reveals the busiest times at the chain. Hopson says they typically get orders after 5 p.m. Thursday through Sunday, which results in longer wait times. However, he says diners should come an hour after ordering to ensure they get fresh food — regardless of the wait time they’re told.
“Wingstop Tips 101,” he begins the video. “If you order food after 5pm Thursday through Sunday, you hear what I say and they tell you to wait 30 to 40 minutes. Just drop by in an hour to get some fresh food.”

Hopson regularly shares content from his job and often shows his 72,000+ followers how he cooks the food. However, this video has garnered over 1.5 million views since it was posted on Wednesday, with many people in the comments praising Hopson for the tip.
“You are the best wing stopper!” wrote one viewer.
“Thank you, my boy,” commented a second viewer.
“Always treat the Wingstop team well and they will treat you well,” said a third.
Former and current Wingstop employees also confirmed the long wait times at these specific times and days.
“I worked there, people don’t understand that the waiting time is long because after 5 p.m. everyone tries to order, our waiting time shrank to 2 hours before that,” said one.
“As someone who has worked at Wingstop, speak facts,” agreed a second.
“I’m currently a chef there, I’ve been working for more than two years, he’s absolutely right,” commented a third.
Another former employee agreed with what Hopson said and added another tip of his own. “[On God] My guy has been working there for years and doesn’t come 1 hour – 30 minutes to close because they have already closed and are no longer taking orders,” they said.
In addition, some viewers reported on their experiences with the long waiting times at Wingstop.
“He doesn’t lie. Last weekend the mines said 35 minutes but it was an hour or more,” one shared.
“Don’t even wait 30 minutes, they say 5 minutes, damn close to an hour wait,” said a second.
“LMFAO wtf…I left dead at 6pm they said about 30 minutes. I don’t get home until 7:30 a.m. lmfao after all,” commented a third.
