Will Drake & 21 Savage tour the UK and Europe?

Last year, Drake surprised fans with not one, but two albums. The second, your loss, was a collaborative album released with 21 Savage and became an instant fan favorite. As the dynamic new duo released singles like “Spin Bout U” and generated memes thanks to “Rich Flex,” fans couldn’t help but wonder if they would eventually announce a tour for the project.

Those fans got their wish granted today as Drake and 21 announced their It’s All A Blur Tour, beginning in New Orleans in June and circling the US and Canada, culminating in a final show in Glendale, Arizona in September. Although a press release says more dates will be announced in the future, fans abroad may not have the opportunity to see the two perform together any time soon.

Will Drake & 21 Savage tour the UK and Europe?

Unfortunately this may not be possible this year. 21 Savage is still locked in a long-standing complaint with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) that could prevent him from traveling outside the United States. You may recall that in February 2019 he was arrested on an expired visa; He immigrated to the United States from the UK with his mother as a young teenager, unaware that his visa had expired. The case was pending as of April last. While there are some Canadian dates in the lineup, a UK tour might be riskier.

Savage’s British compatriot MF DOOM faced a similar situation when he went on an international tour in 2010 and found he was unable to return to the country afterward, despite having lived and worked here for most of his adult life. If 21’s immigration case can’t be resolved by the end of the North American frame of the tour, it wouldn’t be a good idea for him to travel outside the US lest he be left on the outside and look in.
