Three years after his attempt to buy the squad in 2019, Todd Boehly has finally fulfilled his mission and signed an agreement to own the Blues in a £4billion deal.
Three years ago he offered to buy the club for $3bn (about £2.4bn) but the owner at the time, Russian tycoon Roman Abramovich, turned down the takeover bid.

Currently, in addition to being the new owner of Blues, the Company is also the co-founder, chairman, chief executive officer and controlling member of Eldridge Industries.
As of October 2021, he is also interim CEO of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, the nonprofit group of journalists and photographers who cover entertainment news and cast the yearbook Golden Globe Awards.
Todd is married to his wife Katie Boehly, co-founder of the Boehly Center for Excellence in Finance and philanthropist who has worked for charities to find a cure for epilepsy.
The couple have three sons, Nick, Zach and Clay.

Boehly also acquired a 27 percent interest in the Los Angeles Lakers basketball teams along with Mark Walter in July 2021.
