who is the killer Knives Out 2 ending explained

Where there’s a mystery, there’s Benoit Blanc to solve the case. Daniel Craig‘s Southern Detective returns to help identify a killer Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mysterywhich was released on Netflix on Friday December 23rd.

The film reveals that Blanc is invited to a fancy carnival with a group of well-connected friends. Miles Bron (Edward Norton), a successful tech CEO, organized the trip to Greece for his closest friends amid the pandemic: scientist Lionel (Leslie Odom Jr.), politician Claire (Catherine Hahn), men’s rights activist and Twitch streamer Duke (David Bautista) with girlfriend Whiskey (Madelyn Cline) and Celebrity Birdie (Kate Hudson) with assistant Peg (Jessica Henwick). Miles ex business partner Andi (Janelle Monae) shows up, though Miles assumed she’d ignore the invitation. Meanwhile, Blanc has also received an invitation – which the billionaire claims he never sent.

Finally the Ryan Johnson– Directed film reveals that Andi is dead. Her twin sister Helen (also played by Monae) appeared in her place. Andi died days earlier by apparent suicide, but Helen believes one of her former friends killed the businesswoman. She called Blanc to help her solve the case.

Years ago, Andi was pushed out of Alpha when Miles claimed he owned the intellectual property and put her out of business. Andi’s friends supported Miles because he funded them all in some way. Just before Andi died, she found the cocktail napkin with her plans proving the venture was her idea. She sent a photo of the document to her ex-boyfriends, making them all visit her at different times on the day of her death.

Helen’s performance as Andi is not incredible for the group as Andi’s death has not yet been publicly announced. While they’re all shocked when she actually shows up, only one person is terrified because she’s supposedly dead.

That all changes, however, when Duke gets a notification on his phone that Andi is dead. It turns out that he drove past Miles on his way to Andi’s house the day she died, and he realizes that Miles is the killer. He uses this to his advantage and blackmails the tech boss into giving him a show on Alpha News.

Duke’s activism for men’s rights is not well suited to the public, and Miles decides that no one can know how he murdered Andi. So what’s another murder? Miles then pours pineapple juice – to which Duke is fatally allergic – into his own cup and swaps his glass for Duke’s. It looks like a simple mistake, but it begins to end wildly.

In an attempt to kill Helen to keep her quiet, Miles uses Duke’s gun – but is unwittingly unsuccessful. Luckily, Andi’s twin then finds the original napkin in Miles’ office and reveals her identity to the group. However, Miles burns the napkin to ashes, so there is no evidence. Blanc says there’s nothing more he can do without physical evidence – but Helen can change things.

She destroys Miles’ glass sculptures that are all over his mansion. The billionaire fueled the mansion with Klear, his clean energy system, despite warnings from his team that it was unstable. He planned to bring the product to the public and use it around the world despite the potential danger.

Upon learning of Miles’ murders, the group turn against him, realizing that they are entirely disposable and more lives are at stake if Klear is made public. You’re willing to testify against him.

The explosion doesn’t kill anyone, but it does destroy the Mona Lisa that Miles had borrowed from the Louvre. He is responsible for the loss of the iconic painting, his product has proven dangerous and his friends are all ready to take a stand to ensure he is charged with murder.
