WHATSAPP users are happy because reactions have finally landed.
The messaging platform is rolling out the much-requested feature after months of teasing.
And fans of the app couldn’t be happier about the move.
“Yes this is a game changer,” one person tweeted.
“Since WhatsApp started getting message reactions, my life has changed,” said another.
Mark Zuckerberg – who runs WhatsApp owner Meta – shared the news with a selection of reaction emojis.
These include thumbs up, love heart, crying laughter, shocked face, sad tear and praying (or high five).
One of the advantages is that you can quickly respond to a message without having to write a reply.
“Finally reactions for WhatsApp and I’m never replying to anyone again,” admitted one user.
But not everyone is happy about the move.
“With @Whatsapp Going into news reactions I will miss having a news platform focused on simplicity,” one person tweeted.
Others are also frustrated that only six emojis are included.
“WhatsApp should add ALL emojis to reactions,” tweeted a disappointed WhatsApp fan.
Meanwhile, others are annoyed that the feature hasn’t caught on for them yet, as it’s being rolled out gradually.
“Developers and tech giants really need to stop saying new features and updates are coming when they actually aren’t,” complained another.
“It’s such a troll.”
