What’s on the St. Louis County Ballots? Check this list

CLAYTON, Mo. — What’s on your ballot on Tuesday for the 2022 St. Louis County midterm election? We’ve looked up a sample ballot to let you know who and what you’re voting for.

St. Louis County will be crucial in deciding several important races. Voters elect a US Senator, US Representative, District Executive and more. There are also multiple judges on the ballot. Each Missourian is also asked what they think of five constitutional amendments.

Missouri Constitutional Amendments

Constitutional Amendment #1

Do you want to amend the Missouri Constitution to allow the General Assembly to overrule the current constitutional restrictions on state investment by the State Treasurer; and allow government investment in municipal securities with one of the five highest long-term ratings or the highest short-term rating? Yes or no.

State government agencies estimate no costs and increased interest income of $2 million per year. Local government agencies estimate no cost and increased interest
Revenue of at least $34,000 per year.

Constitutional Amendment #3

Would you like to amend the Missouri Constitution to lift state bans on the purchase, possession, consumption, use, supply, manufacture and sale of marijuana for personal use by adults over the age of twenty-one? Yes or no.

Constitutional Amendment #4

Should the Missouri Constitution be amended to approve laws passed before December?
31, 2026 raising the minimum funding for a police force established by a state panel of police commissioners to ensure that that force has additional resources to serve it
communities? Yes or no.

State and local government agencies do not estimate any additional costs or savings associated with this proposal.

Constitutional Amendment No. 5

Should the Missouri National Guard, currently under the Missouri Department of Public Safety, be a separate department known as the Missouri Department of the National Guard,
necessary to protect the constitutional rights and civil liberties of Missourians? Yes or no.

State government agencies estimate no savings and ongoing costs of $132,000 annually. Local government agencies do not estimate costs or savings.
