Like other platforms, Snapchat is now jumping on the subscription train.

Snapchat Plus is a subscription plan app that is currently being tested with specific users.

Snapchat Plus will include new and updated features, including these:

1. Best friend

Snapchat Plus allows its users to pin anyone on their friends list as their best best friend.

It’s similar to the Close Friends feature on Instagram, but you can only choose one friend as your “BFF.”

When you pin someone as your #1 BFF and they share their location, there is an opportunity to track their whereabouts within the last 24 hours.

2. Icons

With a Snapchat Plus subscription, you also get exclusive Snapchat icons that are not available to regular Snapchat users.

Snapchat Plus users can use it to get creative and customize background colors, add flags or flowers, and even change facial expressions.

3. Badge

Users also get a special Snapchat Plus badge on their profile.

Unlike Instagram or TikTok’s blue verified tick, which requires a painstaking process to earn, this badge simply means you’re a Snapchat Plus subscriber.

4. Orbit

You can also see your orbit with your selected #1 BFF.

5. Show count

Last but not least, you can see how many friends have re-watched your Snapchat story.

How much does a Snapchat Plus subscription cost?

There are three Snapchat Plus tiers to choose from, including first, second, and third.

The published subscription plan is in euros, and when converted roughly, the first tier costs about $5.

The second tier is about $26 per month and the third is about $48 per month.

These prices are not unyielding and are subject to changes from Snapchat, according to Digital Trends.

When will Snapchat Plus be released to the public?

Snapchat Plus has yet to be released as it is still being tested.
