Although McStuffin sounded like a great idea on paper, given the incredible success of similar takeout sandwiches, the 1993 McDonald’s menu was not well received. As Insiders Reportedly, the fast-food giant discontinued the item the same year it launched – and perhaps this will happen. According to writer Nick Davies on Medium, McDonald’s tested McStuffin in the market in certain locations, where it was demolished. However, the chain decided to launch the product despite its warm reception. In terms of a far cry from the usual McDonalds burgers and fries prices, McStuffin seems like a McMisfit from the start.
Nearly 30 years later, people still remember McStuffin; there is even a YouTube video on how to recreate stuffed bread at home. Stay tuned if you accidentally crave French bread stuffed with chicken teriyaki while watching the “Full House” replay.
