What a Utah infectious disease doctor had to say about monkeypox

A new virus could be in town. Although this time the disease is not related to COVID-19.
The Salt Lake County Health Department announced two possible cases of monkeypox Monday.
As the county awaits test results from the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention for two Utahans suspected of having monkeypox, Dr. Sankar Swaminathan, an infectious disease expert at the University of Utah, called The Daily Buzz to discuss whether Utahns should be concerned about the virus.
And there’s another shortage plaguing grocery store shelves: baby formula. Women’s Affairs reporter Becky Jacobs explains what state officials are doing to ease the burden.
Hear all of these stories on the Wednesday 25th May episode of The Daily Buzz podcast. You can listen to both today’s episode and previous episodes on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and SoundCloud.
