A soccer game turned into absolute chaos when soccer thugs started hurling rockets, throwing flares and ripping up seats.

It all started towards the end of West Ham’s 2-1 Europa Conference League win last night at the London Stadium in Stratford.

The fans of Belgian team Anderlecht were not happy with the result and started throwing flares into the West Ham end after the Hammers won on penalties.

Riot police quickly arrived at the scene and as a result of the carnage, one officer was reportedly hit on the head with a chair and another injured his arm.

Visiting fans ran onto the pitch and the stewards had to throw many of them to the ground.

At one point, West Ham fans could be heard chanting “Come on you Irons” as they looked over at the disturbance.

Anderlecht has now apologized for the behavior of the fans and Uefa announced that they would start an investigation.

A club spokesman said: “The club will take on the fans and Uefa.

“We would like to apologize to West Ham. We don’t tolerate it. We condemn this behavior in the strongest possible terms.”

West Ham boss David Moyes also condemned the ugly scenes.

He said: “Everyone gets defocused when there is a problem with the crowd. It’s not something any club would want to associate with them and I don’t at West Ham.

“I wasn’t interested in it because it’s one of those things you don’t want to talk about. I don’t want to draw any more attention to it.’

Earlier this year, the Stade de France experienced disruptions during a Champions final in May between Liverpool and Real Madrid.

Kick-off for the game was delayed by 36 minutes after many Liverpool supporters were unable to enter the stadium and many were left in a dangerous situation off the pitch.

At the time, French police were heavily criticized for using tear gas against Liverpool fans, including children, who posed no threat and were just waiting to enter the stadium.
