West Ham are reportedly looking to make a £30m bid for Chelsea striker Armando Broja.

Broja spent the 2021/22 season on loan at Southampton in the Premier League and impressed with nine goals in 38 games in all competitions during his time at the south coast.

Although Thomas Tuchel is keen to see the youngster in pre-season, Sky Sports claim West Ham will test their resolve with an upcoming £30m bid.

Southampton, who finished 15th last season, are also said to be keen on signing the 20-year-old Albania international on a permanent basis and will be fighting for his signature against the Hammers.

Broja has been at Chelsea since 2009 after progressing through the club’s youth academy but has only made one Premier League game for the first-team, playing four minutes.

West Ham, semi-finalists of the 2021-22 Europa League, qualified for the upcoming Europa Conference League after finishing seventh last season and have made Broja one of their top targets.

David Moyes’ side have already started their summer spending, signing Rennes defender Nayef Aguerd for £30million on a five-year deal.

Chelsea, on the other hand are keen to sign Raheem Sterling from Manchester City and Richarlison from Everton – which could allow Broja to move to West Ham or Southampton.

The Blues are ready to offer £35m for Sterling – although the Premier League champions are aiming for at least £50m to convince them to let the 27-year-old England international go.

Chelsea are also reportedly now ahead of Arsenal and Tottenham in the race for Everton striker Richarlison.

The Brazil international, 25, has been a mainstay at Goodison Park since his £50m move from Watford in 2018 – he scored 53 goals in 152 games – and has told Frank Lampard he wants to continue this summer after he helped the Toffees avoid relegation last semester.
