Wendy’s manager goes on a client tour

The manager of Wendy’s was filmed attacking a customer. Although it’s unclear what the customer’s behavior triggered the manager’s reaction, the employee noted in the text that just because he was a manager at the time didn’t mean he overdid it in giving customers the same energy, that they gave him.

“When customers think you won’t leave because you’re a manager,” reads the text overlay of the video, which has been viewed over 33,000 times and posted by @reeek.havo.

@reeek.havo clarified that this incident happened long before it was shared and that he has been working at Wendy’s longer.

“Since you want to throw shit, I can throw stuff too,” the former Wendy’s manager tells the customer in the video. “I don’t know who you think you are, but I’m not your servant. I’m not your slave or anything; I’m not your little boy; I’m not your son, so you’re not going to throw anything at me. You wouldn’t do shit to me if I was your grandchild. So take your card and get out of my line. Goodbye!”

Several commenters expressed support for the former manager, with one even suggesting the approach should be used more often for misbehaving clients.

“He should train everyone who works with the public,” wrote one commenter. “We need this energy with customers who don’t know how to behave.”

Others leveled additional criticism at customers who were anything but polite to those in the service industry. “I’m so tired of people treating workers like they aren’t people,” wrote one commenter. “If you can’t come respectfully, order DoorDash or something in real.”

One viewer was distracted by the manager’s attire, pointing out how he wore his Crocs in “sport mode” or with the strap around his ankle. “For this he put his Crocs in sport mode,” says the top comment of the video.
