Wednesday Addams is coming to Netflix with a brand new series.

Today Netflix announced that a brand new series about the Addams Family is coming to its platform. However, instead of a reboot that focuses on the whole family, the upcoming TV show appears to be all about Wednesday Addams, the daughter with pigtails as twisted as her plans.

The upcoming Tim Burton spinoff will be eight episodes long. You can check out the official reveal trailer, cast list and brief synopsis for Netflix’s Wednesday Addams right below.

WEDNESDAY – starring Jenna Ortega in the title role, alongside Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzman, Gwendoline Christie, Christina Ricci and more – is a detective, supernatural-infused crime that chronicles Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. snap snap.

In the trailer we also see The Thing, the familiar hand that is part of the family. If you have closed captions turned on, the message from the hand will be as follows in sign language: “Heed my warning. A grave terror is approaching. Her name is… Wednesday.”
