[WATCH] ‘SNL’ weekend update on Santos ‘Spider-Man’ claim

What is George Santos’ stranger lie? that he is Jewish. (He isn’t.) That his mother died on 9/11. (She wasn’t even in New York at the time.) What about what he produced Spider-Man: Turn off the Darkness? That’s the claim that’s been made recently, and if you’re scratching your head why anyone, even the guy who lied about being a volleyball champion, would claim he was on one of the biggest flops in history of Broadway has been involved, as has Weekend Update co-anchor Colin Jost.

On the latest SNL, Jost and Michael Che took some time to dive into the latest round of news on the newcomer GOP rep. Che assumed Santos was retiring from positions on the committee “to avoid distractions,” joking, “He added, ‘The last thing I want is attention,’ then he floated away in a feather boa.” , above a picture of heSantos as a drag queen (which he reportedly only did briefly).

However, Jost focused on the alleged Broadway producer’s credit, which the team behind the infamous show denied was genuine. Jost said, “Though he ended up working with the Green Goblin,” resulting in a picture of Marjorie Taylor Greene in a green dress.

Jost also took on the Chinese balloon, which may or may not have been patrolling Americans, and was shot down by the Air Force earlier in the day. He joked that it was “the most complicated gender reveal party in history.” He added, “Bad news for China: It’s a girl.”

As for Che, he addressed Florida’s AP history class for African Americans, which had to be overhauled by order of anti-Awakened Crusader/Governor Ron DeSantis, and removed official black authors deemed “problematic.” Che snorted: “Instead, they’ve been replaced by writers who call them ‘one of the good guys.'”
