One of the top untied offensive linemen in the 2023 recruit class will make his verbal pledge Saturday at CBS Sports HQ. Knijeah Harris, a four-star offensive lineman from IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., will make his pick at 12 p.m. ET. You can watch the announcement live on video at the top of this page, in the CBS Sports app or through your connected device (Roku, Amazon Fire, Apple TV).
Harris selects from an elite list of finalists including Alabama, Miami, Oklahoma and Texas A&M. However, according to 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions, Florida are considered favorites to land Harris. Predictions began switching from Miami to Florida in the last two weeks.
Listed at 6ft 3 and 335 pounds, Harris possesses the kind of strength that should fit quickly into a dynamic rush offense. The industry standard 247Sports Composite Ratings ranks Harris as the #301 overall player and #18 inside offense lineman in the recruit class. 247Sports Southeast recruiting analyst Andrew Ivins predicts Harris as a Power Five starter, comparing him to Oklahoma lineman Tyrese Robinson:
A tall, stocky central defender whose strengths seem suited to a power-based attack. Best when he can shoot from his stance and transition into pull blocking tasks. Effective at hitting targets on the move and a fairly aggressive propulsion blocker… will take some time to reshape the body once enrolled in his chosen college, but has already shown himself to be able to complete careers on a consistent basis can open while looking up high school competition every two weeks.
Harris would be a significant addition to Florida’s 2023 recruit class. The Gators have just two signings, including four-star athlete Aaron Gates. The addition of Harris would place the Gators at No. 37 in the nation despite three recruits.
