Warner Music Group buys 300 Kevin Lies & Lyor Cohen entertainment for $400 million


Warner Music Group (WMG) has buying 300 Entertainment, co-founded by Black CEO and Outstanding CEO Kevin Liles and Lyor Cohen.

300 Entertainment has a list that includes Megan Thee Stallion, who received the title of Best New Artist at this year’s Grammy Awards, Young Thug and his label Childhood life, Gunna, Wap of the fetus, very suspicious, Mary J. Blige, and many other artists.

With the recent acquisition, Liles will serve as president and chief executive officer of 300 and Elektra Music Group. The group Elektra will still be led by the co-chairs Mike Easterlin and Gregg Nadel, who will report to Liles.

300 Entertainment was founded almost 10 years ago in 2012 by Liles and Cohen and co-founders Golden Roger and Todd Moscowitz.

Financial Times reported that the company has sold to Warner Music Group for more than $400 million, according to sources. “300 is a way of life and is in very good hands,” said Cohen, who now works at YouTube.

The 300 Entertainment affiliated activities have earned a total of four GRAMMY® Awards, 13 GRAMMY® Award nominations, Shorty Awards, nearly 200 gold, platinum, multi-platinum and diamond-certified singles.
