Walmart employee delivers customer’s Barbie doll in the woods

It’s not uncommon for customers to open their doors and find nothing there after receiving a notification that their online order has been delivered. The order is often simply left at the neighbor’s door. However, one woman on TikTok went viral for sharing the unusual place her order was placed.

TikTok user Em (@em.kay27) created a series of videos in which she chases a Barbie doll she ordered from Walmart. The employee who delivered the item took a photo of where it was dropped off; However, the photo showed part of the two miles of woods leading to Em’s home.

“This bag with one object, a Barbie doll, could be anywhere on my street,” she explains in the video. “So here I am pacing up and down my street trying to keep up [the] Picture to the scenery to see where this package… could be.”

“Why can’t my life be simple?” Em writes in the caption.

After promising to keep users updated, Em posted a second video of her continued search for the doll. She explains that her hunt was not about the money. She just wanted to know where the doll could be.

At this point, the creator began to search for the doll on foot. She explains that the driver named Janelle did not contact her during the drop off and that she cannot call to ask the whereabouts of the doll as the driver’s phone number is out of service.

“Janelle…I need you to make it a little bit better,” she says.

Em says she tried calling her local Walmart for help, but no one answered the phone. She later shared that she still hadn’t found the Barbie.

One user commented that they were “invested” in the hunt and that Em’s viewers needed to be “shut down,” prompting Em to provide another update.

“Barbie still hasn’t been found. Poor thing, she’s probably going through that today because it’s freezing cold and it’s been raining all day,” she says. After being unable to get in touch with her local Walmart, Em called the company and received a refund.

“My whole thing is that this driver either stole the barbie or threw it somewhere or delivered it to the wrong house,” she says. “Basically, she can’t do her job. … That’s the frustrating part.”

Em went on to explain that the refund was probably the only closure viewers would have, but she remained determined to find the doll.

In the next update, Em’s sister joined the search for Barbie, but the duo still returned home empty-handed.
