wag! Dog sitter takes guest to client’s house and insults him on camera

A customer shares security camera footage of a Wag! The dog sitter’s unauthorized guest looks at the camera and spits out insults as they leave his home, sparking outrage in the comments.

In the video, posted Tuesday by TikToker Kasey Butler (@kaseybutler_), he shows a clip of footage from home security of a woman looking at the camera and saying, “Your wife is ugly, bitch.” Man , who Butler says is the dog sitter he calls pet sitting service Wag! signed says, “All right, let’s go.”

Text overlay on clip reads, “When your Wag! The dog sitter doesn’t show up for 18 hours and brings a random woman over, so end your service…”

Butler then shows family photos, which he says the woman referenced in the clip. The video is captioned “Poor Oliver and Harley… #singleaf” and clarifies that the woman in the photo was not his wife.

The video has been viewed over 194,000 times as of Wednesday, with commenters outraged at the dog sitter for bringing a guest and she verbally disrespecting the customer. Others beat Wag! because they have not properly verified their contractors.

“Hire a professional, insured, well-rated service instead! Unfortunately, these apps don’t check enough and there are too many horror stories,” said one user.

“Never trust these dog sitter/dog seat apps!! I was a walker/sitter and there were multiple times that I was almost killed or kidnapped,” wrote another.

“Private agencies are so much better than wagons and Rovers,” added a third.

Other users criticized Butler for entrusting his dogs to someone he didn’t know.

“I get annoyed every time owners don’t care enough about their pets to find a sitter through something other than an app lmfao,” wrote one commenter.

“With all the wag and rover issues, I don’t see why anyone in their right mind would be using these apps. There are so many ways to find a better babysitter,” said another.

The Daily Dot has reached out to Wag! via email and to Butler via TikTok comment.
