After a Waffle House employee allegedly left work, customers entered the restaurant to prepare their own food.
TikToker @theregobigmc made the claim in a video that garnered over 113,000 views on the platform.
“The Waffle House man said he quit and refused to cook our food,” reads the video’s text overlay. “So we made our own.”
The video shows a Waffle House employee outside the restaurant before the person filming and those accompanying them go inside to make their own breakfast and nearly burn their waffles.

“Y’all we in Waffle House,” reads another text overlay in the video. “The workers have left this house.”
Viewers joked that this wasn’t a unique experience in the comments section.
“Cooking your own food at the Waffle House is part of the experience,” wrote one commenter.
“The waffle house should just rent out the kitchen,” said another. “People always prepare their own food.”
“Waffelhaus customers do everything but just go home,” said a third.
In a viral case, customers were filmed helping an overwhelmed Waffle House employee. And in another, customers stepped in to cook for themselves after workers reportedly collapsed.
The Daily Dot contacted @theregobigmc via Instagram direct message regarding the video, and contacted Waffle House via email.
