Waffle House customer shares Waffle Burger Hack

In a quote attributed to Warren Buffett by various people online, the five most dangerous words in business are “everyone else is doing it.” But if you’re a business competing with Waffle House for indulgent customers, the five most dangerous words in the business — thanks to an innovative TikToker — are “Waffle House waffle burger hack.”

The video, which essentially shows a bacon cheeseburger with a waffle bun, comes courtesy of user Shantell (@shantellxoxo). It’s attracted a staggering number of views – more than 4.7 million – in just two days on the platform, with many keen to try it out.

In the 26-second video, the creator opens a to-go container of the concoction after setting aside a small container of pickles. She peels back the top waffle of the order, revealing the meat pies, cheese and bacon underneath while saying, “You’ve never had anything like it.”

Shantell also offers one possible answer to the inevitable “why” question via hashtag — namely #pregnancycravings. Other videos on her TikTok profile show her talking about her pregnancy and she revealed in the comments section that she is six months pregnant.

The video has received more than 9,600 comments so far, many of whom are eager to have their say.

One reached out directly to Waffle House with a comment, explaining, “I’d rather not hear an employee say ‘WE DON’T DO THIS’ when I show them this video and say do this to me.”

Another remarked, “Imma gotta give them my money today.”

Another remarked, “I know it’s good because you breathe like me after I get dressed.”

But how exactly do you order it? The creator provided instructions in the comments section, noting, “You’re asking for Texas Bacon Melt instead of the Texas Toast, use two waffles (one for the bottom, one for the top), an extra steak cut into four, add onion and cheese.”

One claimed not to need Waffle House for this hack, saying, “I make these at home all the time; Waffle irons are always handy. The best burger at home.”

But another commenter, who certainly represents a sizeable contingent of Waffle House fans, explained, “Drunk nights have just increased.”

The Daily Dot has contacted Shantell via their comments section and Waffle House via email to the company’s press office.
