Viral TikTok shows plane filled with BBL patients after op

A currently viral TikTok from last week depicts a plane full of patients who have just received a Brazilian butt lift (BBL).

The video, posted by Andrea Gallegos (@wildcard313), shows her sitting next to a woman facing back with her butt sticking out. The woman didn’t seem to know that the TikToker was recording.

“So I got on a flight today and everyone sitting around me just had surgery,” the text overlaying the screen read.

Gallegos then panned the phone’s camera to another woman near her — who also appeared to have a BBL.

“They don’t know each other,” read more text on the screen. “Ladies remember that if you get your BBL, don’t forget your flight home. Pack something comfortable for your knees. ”

It was not immediately clear from Gallegos’ video where the flight was headed, but she claimed in a comment that it was flying out of Miami. According to some Reported online, doctors recommend postponing travel for as many days as possible after surgery to minimize the risk of complications. A website that says patients should not travel by plane at least 10 days because it puts pressure on the buttocks and hips.

Meanwhile, commenters were shocked by the clip. While some punish Gallegos for recording strangers without their consent, many believe TikTok is embarrassing.

The video has more than 11 million views on TikTok and thousands of comments.

The top comment on the post, with at least 148,000 likes, reads: “Here’s what happens when you don’t spend extra money on a post-BBL restored home.”

“So sad for me…,” read another comment.

“We are a lost nation,” said a third viewer.

However, others were less critical of the surgery and more concerned with patient safety, urging people to spend more money for a proper recovery.

“As a Flight Attendant, I implore you to please spend an extra $$ on the Restoration House! This is a safety issue! What if we have to evacuate..” one person wrote.

“What happens when there is a storm and you have to wear a seat belt?????” another question.

The Daily Dot has reached out to Gallegos through TikTok’s comment.
