(Fox 13) Wasatch County Sheriff Jared Rigby is accused of bullying and intimidating an officer. Now the video raises ethical questions among heads of state.

Wasatch County Sheriff Jared Rigby was preparing to be sworn in Monday as one of Utah’s top law enforcement officers.

As the state-appointed director of Utah POST, or Peace Officer Standards and Training, Rigby would have overseen the training and certification of approximately 9,000 officers, deputies, and soldiers throughout Utah.

In anticipation of this FOX 13 News report, less than 48 hours before the inauguration ceremony, Rigby’s appointment was suddenly rescheduled and was not rescheduled.

Gov. Spencer Cox and Department of Public Safety (DPS) Commissioner Jess Anderson are now reportedly taking a closer look at the video of Rigby, which was first published by FOX 13 News on December 15, 2021.

Some say the video is an example of Rigby using force to harass and intimidate a witness as part of an investigation.

In an interview with FOX 13 News on Thursday, Anderson called it “a video that is certainly concerning.”
