Variant of Poco F4 India allegedly spotted in IMEI database before launch

The alleged listing does not name the smartphone, instead it includes the model number 22021211RI, which is expected to be associated with the rumored Poco F4. This model number includes the letter “I” at the end, suggesting that this Poco F4 variant could be destined for the Indian market. In related developments, the global model of the Poco F4 has also appeared on the Geekbench database and FCC certification page.

As previously mentioned, tipster Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings) reportedly did sighted the Indian model of the Poco F4 in the IMEI database, which could indicate an upcoming launch in India. The Xiaomi-owned smartphone brand has already released the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC-powered Poco F4 GT in Europe. The rumored Poco F4 is expected to be less powerful than the Poco F4 GT.

The global variant of the Poco F4 is said to have appeared in the Geekbench 5 benchmark database with the model number 22021211RG. It is said to be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 870 SoC coupled with 8GB of RAM. It is said to run on Android 12 which may include a MIUI 13 skin. This Poco smartphone has a single-core score of 1,028 points and a multi-core score of 3,391 points.

According to a MySmartPrice report, the Poco F4, model number 22021211G, also hit the US FCC certification page, which lists it as packing a 4,400mAh battery. The final version is expected to feature a 5,000mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging. In addition, it is said to support the 5G bands N41, N77 and N78, as well as 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi connectivity. This report also mentions that the Indian variant of the Poco F4, model number 22021211RI, has also been spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification page, which may add further weight to the rumors of the Indian launch.
