UP Election News: Congress reviews UP poll results

Congress will review its poor performance in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections on Tuesday to understand its shortcomings and formulate future plans for the politically crucial state. AICC Secretary General for Uttar Pradesh, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, will chair the review meeting, which will be attended by the party’s top leaders.

The meeting comes two days after Vadra delivered her report on the party’s defeat in the polls.

Sources said the meeting will discuss performance in each of the seats in UP, where Congress won just two seats and garnered just 2.33 percent of the vote.

The party will work out its future plan and roadmap for Uttar Pradesh, where it contested all seats alone and without alliance.

This is the first time in many years that Congress will stand for itself. UP Election News: Congress reviews UP poll results
