Two pickup truck drivers killed in head-on collision in Grand County

Two people were killed when a pickup truck plowed into oncoming traffic on State Route 191 in Grand County early Tuesday.

The crash happened just before 5 a.m., when an International pickup truck traveling north on state Highway 191 near landmark 154 drifted to the left and crossed the centerline to follow traffic. South. A Kenworth pickup was unable to avoid the oncoming International freighter and the two collided head-on.

The driver of the international pickup died on impact, and the driver of the Kenworth pickup was treated at the scene but died before the medical helicopter arrived.
