Two people killed in stabbing on moving train in Germany

Two people died in a stabbing on a train in northern Germany.
Police say a man attacked several passengers with a knife around 3pm local time.
The incident happened when the train from Kiel to Hamburg was heading towards Brokstedt station.
According to initial investigations, seven people were injured, the police said.
The interior minister of the state of Schleswig-Holstein, Sabine Sütterlin-Waack, has confirmed that two people were killed and five injured in the attack.
“It’s terrible,” she told reporters.
“We are shocked and appalled that something like this has happened.”
Investigators have now arrested a suspect in connection with the attack, the dpa news agency reported.
Police did not give the outlet any information about the suspect’s identity and said his possible motives were being investigated.
The train station in Brokstedt was closed for several hours after the attack.
