Two dead, baby fighting for life after vehicle hits cement truck

The mother and child, who died in a fatal car accident in south-west Sydney on Monday, have been identified as the family’s three-month-old girl, who is fighting for her life in hospital.
Katrina Sila, 34, and her son Kai Prahastono, 2, died when their car crashed into a cement truck on the Hume Highway in Menangle Park at around 11:20 a.m.
Sila’s young daughter Ivy was flown from the wreck and is in critical condition at Westmead Children’s Hospital.

The driver of the cement truck, a 48-year-old man, was unharmed in the accident. He was taken to the hospital for mandatory tests.
The identity of the family was revealed by the Australian Muslim Network Facebook page, which asked for prayers from its followers.
In a social media post, the network described Sila as a “Muslim Thai mother” who has “returned”. [their] Creator”.
“More details will be updated as they become available,” the post reads.
Friend Rima Waizani also asked for prayers on social media.
