Two arrested after suspected kidnapping of woman, body of man found

Two people have been arrested on the Central Coast after a woman was allegedly kidnapped and spent three days in a unit before escaping and raising the alarm about a man later found dead inside.
Police say they were called to Levitt Street in Wyong around 4.30pm on Saturday to report that a 44-year-old woman was allegedly kidnapped before she fled.
The 44-year-old woman, who had multiple injuries including burns, said she had been at the address since Thursday.

“While speaking to detectives, the woman raised concerns about the well-being of a man she believed was also in the unit,” police said.
“Shortly thereafter, police found the body of a man inside. He has yet to be officially identified but is believed to be in his 50s.”

The woman was taken to Gosford Hospital in stable condition.
A crime scene was set up in the unit and a 30-year-old man was arrested there around 5:30 p.m.
A 33-year-old woman was arrested around 10pm at a house on Charmian Crescent in Watanobbi, about two miles away.
The pair were taken to the Wyong Police Station and are helping with the investigation. Anyone who may have information relevant to investigators is urged to contact the police station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
