TWITTER went down for tens of thousands of people last night.
Users from around the world were furious about the mysterious outage after reporting problems accessing the social media platform.
From 7:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, at least 35,000 people reported they had trouble using Twitter on DownDetector.
The outage seemed to last around 20-30 minutes before it started working again for some users.
Twitter later declared, “We fixed it! We made an internal system change that didn’t go as planned and rolled it back. Twitter should now load as expected. Sorry!”
One woman who was able to get back on the platform shared her relief when she was online.
She wrote: “My social life is Twitter so please stop being down biweekly.”
Her post apparently referenced other Twitter outages over the past few weeks.
Last night, users in the US, UK and New Zealand reported they were among those affected after the platform appeared to crash.
Many said tweets weren’t being updated or they were being kicked out of their accounts and being forced to log back in.
After the issue was resolved Monday night, one user joked, “Twitter was down and I had nowhere to complain.”
