When the police initiated investigations, they ruled out a failed robbery. Watson was spotted with her engagement ring. Tire marks matching Addie’s were all over the crime scene.

A marriage certificate with the names of her and her fiancee was discovered in the car. The man’s name is 51-year-old James Addie. Her wedding was to take place two days after her body was discovered.

According to her family, Watson enjoyed singing, making costumes, and posting video journals on YouTube. She was dying to marry Addie and had bought two wedding dresses because she couldn’t decide on one.

This would have been Watson’s second marriage. Her first marriage was annulled, but she became pregnant during the split. After that, she was in a romantic relationship with a former childhood friend, Amber Brady, which lasted about five years.

While they lived together, Watson took a new job at Moberly Area Correctional Center. There she met Addie, a law enforcement officer. Brady claimed she found the two together at a motel.

Molly’s brother Tim Watson explained in an ABC article that Molly is “deadly, absolutely in love” with Addie, who has been married four times.
