Tram driver says he is too stressed and throws all passengers out | world news

Passengers were told to get off an Australian tram as the driver was too worried to continue working.
The Melbourne-based worker asked everyone on Yarra Trams’ D-class tram to leave the service.
A video of the group getting off was uploaded to social media and captioned it: “When your tram driver tells everyone to get off because he’s stressed and doesn’t want to drive anymore.”
Passengers in the clip look confused as they walk away from the tram.
But many online praised the driver for the decision.
One user commented, “Good for him, a king who puts his sanity first.”
Another added: “Several car and plane crashes have happened because people insist they are operational when they are not. Massive props to this guy for realizing it.
“I hope he’s fine. And I’m glad he actually spoke up instead of continuing to drive without being in the right shape,” said a third.
Yarra Trams told Daily Mail Australia: “The safety of our staff and passengers is our top priority – and we offer our full support to the driver concerned.”
Last month, a passenger train carrying hundreds of people crashed head-on into a freight train in northern Greece, killing at least 40 people.
Several train cars were “completely destroyed,” while others derailed and burst into flames after the collision just before midnight Tuesday near the town of Tempe.
Many of the students on board were students returning home from vacation.
