Tottenham try to sign Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus has reportedly played in front of Arsenal.

The Gunners have made Jesus one of their top targets for the summer window as Mikel Arteta needs to improve his attacking options before the new season begins.

Last week reports claimed Arsenal were finalizing a deal for the Brazil international as they are convinced the player will join them.

But according to Gianluca Di Marzio, Tottenham are “moving under the radar” to sign Jesus ahead of their north London rivals.

Furthermore, the Daily Mirror report that Antonio Conte is a big fan of Jesus’ versatility and is urging Tottenham to sign the 25-year-old.

City are understood to want £50m for Jesus, who is desperate to leave the Premier League champions to secure more playing time.

Spurs have the advantage of being able to offer Jesus Champions League football after finishing fourth in the Premier League last season.

But last month Jesus’ agent insisted Arsenal are among the front-runners to sign City up front.

“We spoke to Arsenal about Gabriel Jesus and yes we like the project,” Pettinati told Fabrizio Romano.

“It’s a serious possibility, so we’re discussing it.

“There are six other clubs interested in Gabriel Jesus, he is now focused on the finals with Manchester City, then we’ll see what happens.”
