Tottenham agree cheap loan deal for Clement Lenglet with Barcelona | Soccer

Tottenham are close to completing a season-long loan move Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet has agreed to pay significantly less than his full salary at the Camp Nou.
The 27-year-old only started seven La Liga games for Barca last season and is overwhelmed as they look to cut their payroll this summer.
Spurs are ready to take advantage of the situation and the final details of a loan move are being negotiated between the north London and Catalonia clubs.
Spanish release Jijantes FC report the wage split has already been agreed, with Tottenham taking around £115,000 of the £200,000 a week he earns at Barcelona.
While it was a disappointing season for Lenglet last time out, he has made 160 appearances for Barca in all competitions since joining from Sevilla in 2018, scoring seven goals.
The France international’s move is set to be confirmed in the coming days and will be the latest in Antonio Conte’s big summer makeover after securing Champions League football at Spurs.
Richarlison was Everton’s latest major signing, following the arrival of Yves Bissouma from Brighton, Fraser Forster from Southampton and Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan.
Another signing is also expected to be confirmed shortly, with a deal for Middlesbrough right-back Djed Spence nearing completion.
The 21-year-old shone on loan at Nottingham Forest last season as Steve Cooper’s side won promotion to the Premier League and now he is on the verge of a move to north London.
