Toshiba CEO Satoshi Tsunakawa resigns amid chaotic restructuring

said on Tuesday that Satoshi Tsunakawa had stepped down as chief executive amid turmoil over plans to restructure himself by splitting into two companies.

The company said that the company’s Senior Vice President Taro Shimada has succeeded Tsunakawa and will lead the company, which will run the energy and infrastructure business once the turnaround is complete.
