The Australian native and the drummer – who married in January 2003 – share daughter Sage, 14, and son Arlo, 11. Alongside the social media announcement, Collette posted a photo of a sign that read “Peace & Love.”

Just before the couple confirmed their split, the 44-year-old musician was snapped in photos shared by the Daily Mail. Neither Collette nor Galafassi have commented publicly on the photos.

The former couple and their two children live mainly in the Little Miss Sunshine Stern’s home country of Australia.

“I’ve lived in so many different places and we as a family are incredibly adaptable and able to set up a home anywhere I work,” she said Sydney Morning Herald in November 2019. “But that feeling of home is a feeling you can’t fabricate and when I come back to Sydney that feeling is very strong. “Obviously we try to make sure things are rotated during the school holidays but sometimes life doesn’t really go that way so it’s just walking one foot in front of the other,” she told the Australian outlet at the time. “I ask my friends how to balance things and they say, ‘You can do it.’ But I don’t feel like I’m doing very well. In the end, all that matters is that everyone feels safe, loved and grounded.”

That pieces of her Alum – who formed a music group with Galafassi, 44 – has always made sure their family bond remains sacred over the years.
