After their meeting fell through last December when Fury was forced to withdraw due to injury and illness, talks between the two rivals have resumed in recent months.
John Fury, Tommy’s father and trainer, revealed to Metro.co.uk that negotiations for a fight to take place in New York City resumed in June.
However, Paul revealed another major backlash this week, claiming his rival is reluctant to fight without John in his corner – with Fury Snr barred from entering the US due to a prison sentence handed down in 2011.
The YouTuber-turned-boxer shared a video Wednesday night insisting Fury has 24 hours to sign the deal, which will see him earn $2 million.
But the former Love Island star now says the deal is done – he claimed the raid was due to a delay in Paul registering for the VADA drug test.
“Just to let you all know the August 6th fight continues.” Fury said in a video shared on Instagram.
“Signed after weeks of waiting for Jake Paul to sign up for drug testing and possibly jeopardizing the fight, he has finally signed up for drug testing.
“We’ve agreed a deal that we’re happy with, so the fight goes on and we’ll see you on August 6th.”
After their bout failed in December, Paul fought former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley for the second time in six months, securing a huge KO win to extend his record to 5-0.
Fury last struggled in April when he secured an eighth win of his career with a comfortable points win on the card between Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte at Wembley.
