Fast food employees often show off the creative concoctions they make using the available ingredients given to them in their respective franchises on TikTok. Like a McDonald’s employee who made “churros” out of burger buns, hot frying oil, and powdered sugar after tossing the fried chunks of bread around in what appeared to be a salad container.

Now, one of Tim Horton’s employees has caught the eye for demonstrating how he’s able to make “pizza” using anything available to him at the popular coffee-and-donut chain.

The TikTok account Timmies (@timhortonsofficial_), which doesn’t appear to be Tim Horton’s actual official TikTok account, writes in a text overlay on a clip, “Tim Horton’s Secret Menu: Pizza.”

The video begins with the worker cutting up a single tomato, placing it in a cup and pouring boiling water into it.

After some soaking in the water, the tomato’s outer skin is soft enough to peel, which the worker does before snipping off the end and then slicing it into smaller and smaller pieces until the cooked tomato becomes a kind of paste.

The paste is then placed in a cup and then heated in the microwave and then further pureed into the cup. To curdle and flavor the paste, a packet of ketchup, hot buffalo sauce, chilli sauce, and salt and pepper are added and mixed vigorously. The sauce is then spread over what appears to be a tortilla and then topped with shredded cheese, along with other available toppings in Tim Hortons’ kitchen. It is then placed in an oven until crisp and the cheese is melted. The employee grabs a piece and then “cheers” for it with a colleague.

The Daily Dot has contacted the creator via TikTok comment and Tim Hortons via email for more information.

Viewers were somewhat incredulous as to whether the pizza really is a “secret menu,” with many complaining about the amount of time they usually wait to receive their order while visiting a Tim Hortons eatery.

“Yeah, right! Tim Hortons staff has enough trouble toasting and buttering a bagel and having it out the window in under a minute,” wrote one TikTok user.

Another remarked, “That’s why it’s taking so long to get my order.”

Others wondered why employees have time to bake pizzas in the kitchen but don’t bother putting cream cheese on both sides of a bagel.

One user said, “If they have time please put cream cheese on both sides,” something that another TikToker agreed with, writing, “Lmao we can hardly get a bagel.”

Others wanted to try the pizza but said they were informed it wasn’t an actual menu item when they asked to have it made for them at the Tim Hortons they visited.

“Is that really because I asked a few places they didn’t know what I was talking about?” they said.
